CULTURE & TRADITION IN BARILOCHE, PATAGONIA ARGENTINA

The "City of Lakes", With its typical European architecture, has grown up between the influence of early pioneer and Indian culture. This mixture has created a variety of national, regional and local festivities: "Navidad Coral"(Christmas Choir Songs), "Fiesta de la Mosqueta" (Rosehip Celebration), "Fiesta de las Colectividades Europeo-Argentina y Latin-Americans" (Latin-American and European-Argentine Festival), "Fiesta de la Tradición"(National Tradition Celebration), "La Patagonia Canta en Bariloche" (The Patagonian Song Festival in Bariloche), "la Fiesta del Curanto" (The Curanto Festival) and the Anniversary of the City.

In the winter season the traditional National Snow Festival takes place.

Summer brings a variety of concerts, conference and musical training courses, organized by the Camping Musical. These courses are held for musical students from all over the world. The famous "Camerata Bariloche" was created here and many wellknown musicians started in these courses.

Another popular feature of the local culture are the "Coro de Niños y Jóvenes Cantore" (Young peoples choir) concerts. These have been a success for the last fifteen years at the Teatro Argentino de La Plata, Belgrano Auditorium, Teatro Colon de Buenos Aires and on tours through Chile, Germany, Switzerland and Italy. There are also choral groups like the "Coral Melipal", "Coro del Centro Atómico Bariloche", important luthier like Raúl Pérez, musicians, artists and even cartoonists like Chingolo Casalla.

Finally the Mapuche handcraft association organizes local, regional, national and international weekly exhibits near the SCUM (Multiple cultural activities hall).

DAY 2 - Excursion called "Circuito Chico" to visit Panoramic Point, Llao Llao, Puerto Pañuelo, Moreno Lake, Cerro Lopez, Colonia Suiza...

DAY 3 - Boat Excursion to visit Isla Victoria and Los Arrayanes National Park.

DAY 4 - Transfer to airport
