Las Hayas Hotel & Resort is located in a natural forest of beeches
(hayas) of 5 hectares, below the glacier Le Martial, 2.5 km. away from
Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, capital of the province of
Tierra del Fuego.
Las Hayas Hotel & Resortl is 15 minutes away from Ushuaia's International Airport. This airport has a new runway operating since December 95 allowing the landing of all kind of planes. The Concorde landed at Ushuaia’s airport in the months of January and November 1999 in its charter flight around the world. Ushuaia is thus daily connected with direct flights non stop from Buenos Aires -3.000 km. away, 3 1/2 hour flight- and other regular flights.
Las Hayas Hotel & Resort offer you 50 standard single / double rooms with an average surface of 30 sq.m. These rooms have a hall, large bedroom, bathroom with tub and hand shower, WC, bidet, wall to wall marble vanitory, hairdryer. The decoration of the room includes a piece of furniture for the bar, another one for the T.V. set, a working desk with chair, a table with two small armchairs, and an individual safe box operated with the same magnetic key card that opens the door of that guest room.
Las Hayas Hotel & Resort offer you 3 deluxe junior suites decorated as the just mentioned but with their bathrooms with the shower, the basin and the whirlpool tub in different compartments. This rooms are also equipped with 100% linen towels imported from Portugal.
Las Hayas Hotel & Resort has 32 superior junior suites with a bigger surface, an average of 40 sq.m., that in addition to the items mentioned above for the standard rooms include a larger and sectional lounge with a comfortable couch, and a "queen Ann" armchair
Las Hayas Hotel & Resort offers 7 deluxe suites with a lounge with T.V. set, bar, working desk, completely independent from the bedroom. This rooms also have their bathrooms sectioned in different compartments and their tubs have whirlpool. They are also equipped with scale, towel bath robe, linen towels, hairdryer. The average surface of these suites is 60 sq.m.
Conventions, incentives and banquets have their place at Las Hayas Hotel & Resort. They are equipped with Shelby Williams chairs, King Arthur folding tables oval, rectangular and seminar size, and King Arthur wood dancing floor.
The Main Conference / Banquet room, The Millenium Room (first used on the night of December 31st 1999 with the presence of Eleonora Cassano, Julio Bocca and the Ballet Argentino) measures 30 x 21 meters with large windows all along the 30 meters that have a view to the Beagle Channel and 21 meters of windows looking the forest that surrounds the hotel. Its maximum height is of 6 meters. This room has a capacity of 800 / 1000 people in auditorium and 500 people in a Banquet shape with dance floor.
