THE INCREDIBLE ADVENTURE TO THE SKY: THE TRAIN TO THE CLOUDS
This is one of the three highest railroads in the world. It seems to be hanging from the giddy mountains, the visitor feels as if he were hanging from the clouds. The train takes its way across some of the region´s most spectacular scenery, like the amazing landscape with its high picks.

During the season from April to October, the train leaves the city of Salta every Saturday for its zig-zagged trip of 217 km. The train passes by San Antonio de los Cobres and climbs almost 4200 metres above sea level at La Polvorilla Viaduct.
During the 15 hours of the total journey, this train provides a buffet-car, a medical ward, audio sound, video, folk groups and bilingual touristic guides.

Due to its magnificent landscape, to the translucent clarity of the intense blue of the sky and because over the years "Train to the Clouds" has become one of the most important railroads built in the first half of XX century, it is one of the most important
touristic attractions in Argentina.

THE TRAIN TO THE CLOUDS: ATTRACTIONS
To touch the clouds is the ultimate experience of this trip full of sensations and surprises.

The entire landscape is composed in a harmony of colors that nature put in the peaks, hills, plateaus and snowcapped mountains of the impressive PUNA, adding to the magnificent engineering feat that are the traintracks unique for its bridges, tunnels, zig zags and viaducts.

The trip goes straight to heaven, embracing along the way small Andean villages and ruins of thousand year old civilizations that have mysteriously disappeared, until reaching the "Viaducto de la Polvorilla" at 4220 meters above sea level in San Antonio de los Cobres.

Ascend to heaven and touch the clouds with your hands. How many times have you imagined having the opportunity of realizing such a dream and living to tell about it!

We have created a new excursion to reach your expectations. A different journey, different activities and fascinating scenery.

Through the famous Railway C-14, you will pass by Campo Quijano, the Toro Ravine, and El Alisal. The greenness of the mini-crops and the deep red spots of the blossoming ceibo trees will incessantly capture the focus of your camera.

Ingeniero Maury Station, formerly named Gólgota Station, will appear by the side of the tracks. You will arrive at Diego de Almagro Station located in a picturesque valley 3,300 meters above sea level after going through two extraordinary railway loops.

At this spot, the train will cease its elegant pace for an instant; there you can start a trek or return by train to Finca El Gólgota, where you will enjoy a pleasant lunch.

All these activities in a sole journey. A different journey.
